This shows a small range of the web systems that we have developed at Babel Com Australia. Contact us for further information and pricing on web development, or to give us the opportunity to tender for a system to meet your requirements.

MEDEMAIL

Medemail is a web site to connect Pathlogy and Radiology laboratories with doctor's surgeries. It allows doctors to send and receive secure emails and pathology results with unbreakable encryption.

Backed up by a MySQL database, Fedora Directory Server for LDAP services, and an IMAP mail server, Medemail contains a web based mail system supporting public-key encryption and signing of email messages, as well as secure transmission of results. Medemail supports a variety of protocols and file formats including PIT, HL7, and several custom XML formats.

Medemail was a result of a year-long custom development project using entirely Open Source software, built by Babel Com Australia using AJAX tools and methodologies.

RADII

radii.org provides learning and educational resources to the primary and secondary schooling sector.

The radii.org web site was developed by Babel Com Australia using the Drupal content management system, a custom designed registration and membership interface, and many other custom modules. The radii.org development project was an initial three months, and support and maintenance has continued over the past 2 years.

In addition to the radii.org web site, the RADII development included a full event management kiosk, a school appointment diary, and a contacts database connected to a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system using Sugar CRM.

FourPlay

FourPlay started life as a classical string quartet, originally made up of friends from the Australian Youth Orchestra. Inspired by the Kronos, Balanescu and Brodsky Quartets’ blurring of the boundaries between classical and rock music, they began playing rock covers for friends. FourPlay use two violas as opposed to two violins (as a traditional string quartet would use) to produce a thicker, deeper sound.

In 1995 they bought pickups and distortion pedals, and transformed themselves into an electric string quartet. In 1998 they released their first album, Catgut Ya' Tongue? which sold out of the first 1,000 copies in 3 weeks... with no distribution or label in place. In April 2000 they released their second full-length album, The Joy Of... to glowing media coverage (now re-pressed an estimated 8 times – and even more for the first album).

The FourPlay shop web site was developed by Babel Com Australia using the osCommerce eCommerce system, and a template supplied by the band themselves. The Fourplay shop allows customers to purchase mp3 files produced by the band and download them directly from the shop.

SailDB

SailDB is the race sailing world's newest yacht race / crew matching site. Unlike other sites of its type it doesn't attempt to match crews with yachts looking for a weekend harbour sail, or an ocean cruise. This site is for racing crews and skippers to find each other.

The SailDB web site is a custom developed site, developed by Babel Com Australia using our own custom developed framework. Total web site development time, from conception to completion, was less than two weeks.

Linux Security Central

Linux Security Central is a security management system and service for Linux based systems. Linux Security Central can be used in various ways:

  • As a complete outsourced monitoring service for your Linux systems -- for a fixed monthly fee, the staff at Linux Security Central will perform all of your security monitoring for your systems.
  • As an external web system where you are able to monitor your Linux systems yourself using the Linux Security Central web interface.
  • As an internally deployed application where a copy of the Linux Security Central software is deployed in your organisation to centralise security monitoring across many systems.

The Linux Security Central web site is a custom developed site, developed by Babel Com Australia using our own custom developed framework, as well as several custom back end scripts in Perl and PHP.
